Practicing Occult Black Magick
I had the pleasure to interview with Mark Mauvais the other day and had the opportunity to discuss many aspects of the occult and some common misconceptions that individuals have about practicing in the occult.
The primary focus of all magickal workings, much to the dismay of some disillusioned teenagers who hope to see a demon tear their ex-boyfriend to bits, but rather is a journey of self discovery and personal empowerment. The energies that you attract, and the workings you perform are extensions of your psyche. That’s not to say that demonic entities don’t exist, and that you can not summon a demon – quite the contrary; they do – and the power of Magick to create a reality of your own (for yourself and others) is in fact very powerful. But in the grand scheme of things, the working with these energies and entities is a process of self transformation.
A major distinction between the right and left hand paths is the description of the end focus of the Great Work. In the right hand path systems, the main focus is usually reconnecting with the source. In the left hand path, the main focus is usually self-deification. But when push comes to shove, both are ultimately reaching the same goal and conclusion – a connection with a higher source (that being either yourself or the universal source), and personal empowerment through magickal workings.

I suggest subscribing to Mark’s channel as he brings a wealth of knowledge of the paranormal to the community.
